Welcome to the home page of the Oracle Financial Services Industry-Special Interest Group (FIN-SIG)

Our group, simply called FIN-SIG, is affiliated to the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG). Note we are not part of Oracle Corporation. We are run entirely by volunteers from the Oracle community who wish to learn and help others in the areas of Banking, Credit Cards, Insurance, Mortgage and Capital Markets all of which together constitute the Financial Services Industry.

The FIN-SIG shall fill a gap for a common forum and support/resource base for all new and existing Oracle Applications users who operate in the Financial Services Industry and also users who have interest in specific packaged application software provided by Oracle Corporation to meet specific business needs of the Financial Services Industry. Some of these software products from Oracle include Transfer Pricing, Risk Manager, Activity Based Management, Global Consolidation System, Enterprise Budgeting and Planning, Financial Services Data Model, Internal Controls Manager etc.

We also include the Oracle Financials Software Applications (OFSA application suite) initially developed by Treasury Services Corporation as Treasury Services Evaluation & Reporting (TSER) and also the more recent product acquisitions by Oracle Corporation including PeopleSoft, Siebel, i-Flex and Hyperion.

We also include in our scope some of core Oracle Financial application modules like General Ledger, Payables and Receivables as applied to the Financial Services industry.
