About our Keynote Speaker: Lee Geishecker, VP Research, AMR Research
Lee Geishecker brings more than 25 years of financial, operations, and software industry experience to her role as vice president of research for AMR Research. Her coverage area includes ERP systems for non-manufacturing environments, vertical industries outside of the manufacturing sector, and the management of the applications portfolio.
Lee has been an industry analyst for over 10 years, covering ERP selection, Financial Management Systems, Administrative Applications, Corporate Performance Management, and Business Intelligence. Prior to that, Lee spent time in both the user and vendor communities. Before joining AMR Research, Lee served as research vice president at Gartner where she served as primary analyst covering Oracle Corporation. She also held senior management positions in various software companies including: Lawson Software, Marcam Corporation and Cullinet Software. Lee has been frequently quoted in leading business publications including Business Week , InformationWeek, The Financial Times , and The Wall Street Journal . She speaks frequently at industry trade conferences, user group meetings, and executive conferences. Lee graduated with a B.S. from Bentley College and an MBA from Northeastern University .
About the FIN-SIG:
The OAUG Financial Services Industry Special Industry Group ( FIN-SIG) is affiliated to the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and is not part of Oracle Corporation. The SIG is run entirely by volunteers from the Oracle community who wish to learn and help others in the areas of Banking, Credit Cards, Insurance, Mortgage and Capital Markets all of which together constitute the Financial Services Industry.
The FIN-SIG shall fill a gap for a common forum and support/ resource base for all new and existing Oracle Applications users who operate in the space commonly called Financial Services Industry and also users who have interest in the specific packaged application software provided by Oracle Corporation to meet specific business needs of the Financial Services Industry. Some of the current software products from Oracle include Transfer Pricing, Risk Manager, Activity Based Management, Global Consolidation System, Enterprise Budgeting and Planning, Financial Services Data Model, Internal Controls Manager etc. We also include the Oracle Financials Software Applications (OFSA application suite) initially developed by Treasury Services Corporation as Treasury Services Evaluation & Reporting (TSER). We will also include in our purview some of the core Oracle Financial application modules like General Ledger, Payables and Receivables but only as applied to the Financial Services industry.
